Volcano Art Center - Education Building

Scope of Work: New construction and site work for a 3,106 square foot education center. The interior of the project included education rooms, conference space, restrooms and kitchen facilities. The civil work for this project included: BMPs, mass excavation, trenching and backfill, installation of septic system, drywells, waterlines and asphalt paving. A unique element of this project was that the volunteers of the Volcano Art Center wanted to perform certain tasks to help keep costs down. Heartwood's Project Manager worked with the Art Center staff to coordinate and schedule the work of volunteers. All volunteers were provided a safety briefing prior to working on site.

Volcano Art Center - Administration Building

Scope of Work: New construction of a 3,500 square foot administration building. The project included administrative offices and work space, conference room, and restroom facilities. The civil work for this project included: BMPs, mass excavation, trenching and backfill, installation of a septic system, drywells, waterlines and asphalt paving. To obtain proper site drainage, 4 feet of unsuitable material was removed and replaced with structural backfill.
